Overprints, Type 16a 1879 (Aug-Sept): 3 d. mauve on green paper, imperforate, a fine used example with large even margins all round, non-constant variety "Missing First "a" in Tr nsvaal", neatly cancelled by "1" numeral of Pretoria leaving the variety clear. Extremely rare and attractive variety with barely a handful recorded. Cert. BPA (1994) Gi = unlisted.
