700 r. red brown, horizontal pair used on 1880c. double rate registered Money Letter to Cananea, each stamp tied by segmented cork handstamps in black with 'Registrado / S. Paulo' datestamp below. Reverse with five large black wax seals alongside manuscript notation '46$700' and signature for declared value. Rate breakdown of Double Postage 200 r., registration 200 r. and 2% insurance on 50$000 reis = 1'000 r. Some ageing but a great rarity and very possibly the sole multiple of this stamp on commercial letter. Cert. Moorhouse (2013).1 / 1
