		Lot# : 5154 ArgentinaOn November 1, 1860 prepayment using French adhesive stamps was regulated. rnrnMessageries Impériales 1860 (Nov 14): Entire letter from Buenos Ayres to Barcelona, Spain endorsed "via di Francia" at top, franked by France 1853 80 c. carmine in a horizontal pair, touched to good margins but affected by file folds, tied by dotted Anchor lozenge in blue with corresponding framed "P.P." and octagonal "CONFEDERATION ARGENTINE / *" Consular datestamp (Nov 14) alongside (Salles fig. 1057). Carried on the "Saintonge" to Rio de Janeiro and thence by the "Navarre" to Bordeaux with entry marking "Brésil / Bordeaux" in red (Dec 21). Struck on arrival in Barcelona (Dec 25) with "8 Rs." due in blue. Illustrated in Edition D'Or 59 on page 107.
