    RMSP 1843 (Oct 26): Cover from Bogotá to the Chargé D'Affaires of New Granada in London, carried at double rate. Prepaid on despatch with oval framed "BOGOTÁ / FRANCA" in red with "7" reales handstamp below and reverse showing italic "Tarde y Cargada" (Late) in red. Carried on the RMSP "Liffey" to Jamaica where struck with KINGSTON / JAMAICA cds in black (Nov 29) and circular "CARTAGENA" fleuron in red; thence via "Avon" to Havana and "Clyde" to Southampton. Charged "4/6d." due on arrival (Jan 9, 1844). Illustrated in Edition D'Or 59 on page 143. Some creases but very rare. Cert. Bortfeldt (2009).rnProvenance: Collection Juan Santa Maria (2009).
